360° Virtual Reality (VR) Photographic Panoramas and VR Object Movies
What is a 360° VR Panorama? It is a photograph where you the viewer is at the center of a scene, with the ability to "look" totally around you, that is, pan to the left or right in a 360° circle. These panoramas are normally 360°, but can be less so they becomes a "wide-angle" scene. View a panorama (uses Java applet) completed for a client.
A VR Object Movie allow you to click on the object and move it, like it was on a turntable, so you can see all sides of it. For example: Looking at all sides of a sculpture or a piece of equipment. View a VR Object (uses QuickTime) completed for a client.

How are VR's made and displayed?
VR Panoramas are created by taking a number of digital still photos of the scene. The photos are uploaded into a computer and "stitched" or joined together with special software to form a continuous and seamless panorama image. The image is digitally edited to ensure uniform quality, and HTML and Java code is created to control the display.
VR Panoramas are usually displayed on a web page using either a Java applet or a QuickTime plug-in. The choice of delivery depends on your specific needs since there are different advantages based on the format used. For example when using a Java Applet to display and control the panoramic image, HTML code needs to be written to implement the applet. When this HTML code is inserted into the web page where the panorama is to be displayed and the browser opens the page, the applet is automatically loaded and the panorama is displayed on the screen. No special plug-ins are required if the viewer's browser is capable of supporting Java.

Environmental/Location Portraiture
Environmental/Location Portraiture means portraits taken of people/objects in a situation that they live in (work, rest or play) and/or a place that says something about who/what they are. Environmental portraiture can be used to say something about the subject or, perhaps, more correctly, lets the environment say something about the person or persons in the photograph.
Environmental portraits give context to the person/subject that I am photographing. These photgraphs often give the viewer of the portrait real insight into the personality and lifestyle of the subject. These images are somewhere between purposely posed shots of the studio portrait (posed portraits) and candid shots which capture people almost incidentally as they go through their daily life.
